3/17/2008 — NELLIS AIR FORCE BASE, NEVADA (AFPN) — The 67th Wargame Tactics Group reached another milestone on St. Patrick's Day in their quest to fully integrate the chief of staff of the Air Force's vision for the group as "Threats Central."

Lt. Col. Rudolph "Red Nose" Maiden III assumed command of the newly formed 67th Warcraft Aggressor Squadron. The activation of the 67th WAS significantly increases the 67th WTG's ability to replicate the full spectrum of cyberspace threats within the World of Warcraft universe and train friendly forces to defeat them, as well as during Aggressor road shows, said Lt. Col. Lisa Agano, 67th WTG deputy commander.

"One of our primary missions will be to identify vulnerabilities and exploit weaknesses in the command and control infrastructure of World of Warcraft, including their network and communication systems," said Colonel Agano, whose call sign is "Lucretia Borgia" in the World of Warcraft universe. Members of the 67th WAS will leverage their extensive gaming expertise and cyberspace operational background to teach Air Force personnel how to defend their characters against a complex, constantly expanding Warcraft threat.

"We must never underestimate cyberspace threats in the Warcraft universe," Colonel Agano said. "Right now we're gathering intelligence on a terrorist group known as 'Serenity Now.' This fraternity of assassins once attacked a funeral procession. Despite their name, they're one of the most dangerous terrorist groups on the face of the Warcraft world," she explained. "The 67th WAS will be their greatest enemy, and we're going to give President Bush the sovereign options he needs to 'neutralize' these unlawful combatants."

"The 67th WAS is now an integral part of a total force Aggressor team encompassing binary-ten active duty, reserve, and guard squadrons," Colonel Agano said. Their unique capabilities will help ensure Airmen are prepared for combat in the Warcraft arena, now and in the future.
